I'm saving for almost a year to a LCD TV along with a home theater system to buy. My idea of relaxation and de-stressing is just a good movie. Nothing is better than a movie of your choice comfortably at home on your favorite sofa.
A year back when I wanted to buy an LCD TV, the price was far beyond my budget and a luxury for someone who just had not worked. But in a few months when my hunt for a goodCommercial with a renowned brand name and affordable price started again, I realized that the prices seem to have significantly come down. With reduced prices LCD TV has been giving tough competition to plasma TV and has even overtaken them in many international markets.
The LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. There are liquid crystals between two glasses, pressed is electrically charged to form an image. The plasma TV picture may be easilybetter than LCD because they can afford, better than black LCD, and therefore provides a good contrast.
Although minute detail can be seen better on LCD because of more pixels on the screen, they were only in smaller sizes earlier giving plasma TV an edge over their disposal. They are now larger in all dimensions, even in sizes than one meter and are as good or better than plasma TV performance wise.
LCD `s are used as computer monitorscomprehensive. They are consuming not only flat and light, but also up to thirty percent less energy. Another interesting factor that caught my attention was 60,000 hours stuck on the LCD `s. This is the number of hours that can be viewed on the display with optimum image quality. A slight negative is that LCD TV is not very clearly visible from a tight angle.
As more and more people become accustomed to television and computer monitors to be connected to aNecessity for individuals all over the world, manufacturers are investing billions of dollars into research. The leading brands in this category are Samsung, Philips, Sony, LG and Sharp. By 2011 the production of number of LCD TVs is expected to go up to one million from about twelve million in 2006, sixty years old. The LCD TV market is expected to be worth 25 million U.S. dollars by 2011.
Some leading manufacturers are using even the original design manufacturers(ODM's) and Electronic Manufacturing Services providers (EMS) to meet growing demand. The competition between the brands on the size, quality of the image and the cost has benefited the consumer the most.
Apart from the prices there are a number of functions to be compared between the leading brands. I am aware of technically very well the characteristics of the LCD TV after my research on it for a few weeks. I just wanted to buy this from me to be perfect. For meTelevision is not only moving images, but an experience that has to be perfect.
After a series of research and shopping centers in electronic, I have finally purchased on the Internet, LCD TV, buy a best for me is, in my household. I placed my prized possession just beside my home theater converting one small room in a comfortable mini-theater.
There are bean bags with a carpet and air conditioning thrown around. Now my friends can not resist really, mycozy room and invite themselves over almost every weekend. Many end up with the movie of their choice, sometimes, very annoying for me.
There are some friends who remain behind in the night after the late night show and some that are in food. Although, I love the time with them my effort now is to convince them to spend their own LCD TVs have, so I can get my new LCD TV all to myself. Some people seem to be convinced, while others are happy to treat my LCDTelevision as their own.
